SEO integration
MCP for Slim SEO
Slim SEO keeps every post field in one slim_seo meta array. WP MCP reads and merges into that array in the unified field set it uses for every SEO plugin, the way Slim SEO saves it, so a partial edit keeps your other settings. Title, description, canonical and noindex are supported; Slim SEO has no focus keyword or nofollow field, so those are ignored. Every write is snapshotted first.
What your AI can do
Real Slim SEO operations, every write reversible.
- Read and write Slim SEO meta title and description
- Set canonical URLs and noindex
- Bulk-edit metadata across many posts, snapshotted per change
Example prompts
Just ask.
Write meta descriptions for every page that is missing one.
Noindex the internal search landing pages.
Under the hood
The real calls.
update-seo-meta({ post_id: 42, description: "…", noindex: true }), merged into slim_seo; snapshotted
Frequently asked
Questions, answered.
Why are focus keyword and nofollow not written?
Slim SEO has no such fields. The same tools still accept them for other plugins; on Slim SEO they are ignored rather than stored somewhere the plugin never reads.
