WP MCP 0.8.103: Destructive tools now ask you to confirm through your MCP client
WP MCP 0.8.103 is out. Here is what changed in this release:
- Destructive tools now ask you to confirm through your MCP client when it supports elicitation, instead of refusing until the agent passes confirm:true; clients without it keep working exactly as before.
- Backups and background WP-CLI jobs run as MCP Tasks on 2026-07-28 clients that support the Tasks extension, so they can be polled and cancelled as tasks.
- Every tool now declares an output schema describing its structured result.
Download it from the GitHub release, or see this release on the changelog alongside every earlier one.
